Old John Bennett told police he bought an air mattress at Wal-Mart and crossed the border after being denied entry into Canada at the Calais crossing in Maine.
Bennett was soaked when he was arrested by police late Wednesday.
He acknowledged the charge and was sentenced in St. John\'s provincial court on Thursday.
