OAKLAND, Calif.
-California Attorney General Jerry Brown sued several manufacturers of children\'s inflatable \"bounce houses\" as tests showed some structures contained lead at unsafe levels.
In a lawsuit filed in Oakland on Wednesday, Brown said tests conducted by the Oakland Environmental Health Center found that vinyl in the inflatable structure contained lead that exceeded state and federal standards.
A test of a bounce house found that its lead content was more than 70 times higher than the federal limit.
Brown wants nine companies named after suits to stop selling contaminated materials.
He also wants the leasing company to issue a warning about the level of leads.
In the facilities equipped with indoor inflatable toys for children to play, bounce houses are often used.
Some companies also rent inflatable toys for children\'s gatherings.
